The Langdon Community Association is a Not-for-Profit Association registered under the Province of Alberta Societies Act. The Association, grounded in rural living philosophy, seeks to enhance the lives of all Langdon and area citizens and, through events, programs and education, within the Associations’ facilities, maintain health and wellness, friendly competition, and social recreational opportunities.

The Objectives of The Langdon Community Association are:
-To promote community and area participation in healthy, safe recreation, by the provision of facilities for playing, learning, socializing, and engaging with others.
-To further benefit the residents of Langdon and surrounding area, without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by bringing together the said residents, the local authorities, voluntary and other organizations in a common effort to advance education, health and community strength; and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the community and area.
-To promote the interests of members of the Langdon Community Association and to advance any plans for the advantage, recreation, cultural and convenience of the members of the citizens of Langdon and area.
-To establish, maintain, operate and conduct a social and cultural facility for the recreation and convenience of the citizens of the area.
-To acquire lands, by purchase or otherwise, erect or provide a building or buildings for recreational, social and community purposes.
-To manage, plan, operate, maintain and supervise all aspects of the Langdon Community Association as required by agreements entered into between the Association and other parties.
-To sell, manage, lease, mortgage, dispose of, or otherwise deal with the property of the society in accordance with existing agreements and as directed by the Charities Act.
-Provide for whatever charitable procedures may be required to fulfil the goals of the Association toward the end of maintaining a viable recreational facility.
-For the purposes of furthering the objects above, but only for such purposes (and only to the extent permitted under the provisions of the Charities Regulations in respect to charitable organizations) to:
-to solicit, receive, acquire and hold donations, gifts and bequests. This includes accepting gifts, donations, grants, legacies, bequests and inheritances
